There will be a total of 60 persons at the festival this year, so a limited but specific crowd of plant enthusiasts. If you are able to spend the whole day with us, please come between 9 am and 10 am for a pre-set up of your presentation or workshop in order to avoid disrupting the activities. If you are not able to come early to set up, or need to leave before the end of the activities, just let us know and we’ll have a volunteer ready to assist you as you arrive or leave the site. Some of the activities have a limited number of participants, but you will be able to join the presentations in the main tent.

Make sure to visit the Festival Page, where you can find the full day’s schedule, presenters bios, venue details, and FAQs.

Venue

The festival will be held at the Herbal Hearth, an off-grid home and venue located an hour south of Whitehorse in Mount Lorne, at km 22.7 Annie Lake Road. Cell phone reception is limited in the area, so make sure you save the directions below. Plan to arrive between 9 am and 10 am for a pre set-up of your presentation or at least 30 minutes before the start of your presentation.

Though cell phone reception is limited, wifi will be available on festival grounds.

If you haven’t done so already, please make sure to let us know about any requirements for your presentation/workshop, such as a screen, water, electricity, wifi, etc.

All of the activities will be held outdoors, on and around the private property, so we invite you to bring lots of layers for changing weather! And be sure to bring good foot wear for the plant walks.

Dogs are not allowed on the property, so make sure to leave your animal friend at home. There will be two outhouses on site for your use. Herbal refreshments will be provided and lunch will be available for purchase from Chickadee Wagon Farm Food Truck if you haven't packed food! We invite you to bring your own cutlery and travel mugs to help reduce waste.

Directions from the Alaska Highway:

1. Turn on the South Klondike Highway and travel towards Carcross for 15 km.

2. Turn right onto the Annie Lake Rd and travel 22.7 km.

3. When you arrive at The Far Side Rd turn left onto the road and continue down the rest of the way (1.5 km) following the festival signs.

4. There will be volunteers on site to show you where to park and where to find your Plant Fair table.
